Thay will get Android 12 in 2021 and Android 13 in 2023

Samsung has confirmed exactly which phone and tablet models will receive three generations of Android updates after making public the launch of the Note 20 presentation activity.

The list also includes last year’s flagships like the Galaxy S10 but there are also some products we didn’t actually expect. In the past, Samsung had promised two years of updates but now the phones will take three years. The Galaxy S20 phones will get three major versions of Android starting with Android 11.

So the phones will get Android 12 in 2021 and Android 13 in 2023. Extra support is very important especially for those who hold the phones for a longer time.

The complete list of devices that will receive three generations of Android updates:

  • Galaxy S: S20 Ultra, S20 + 5G, S20 +, S20 5G, S20, S10 +, S10, S10e, S10 Lite and future Galaxy S series.
  • Galaxy Note: Note 20 Ultra, Note 20, Note 10+, Note 10, Note 10 Lite and future  Galaxy Note series.
  • Foldable Galaxy: Galaxy Fold Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Fold and future models Folding Galaxy
  • Galaxy A: A71, A51, 90 and future A series models
  • Tablets: Galaxy Tab S7 +, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and upcoming Galaxy Tab series.

Beyond these phones, Samsung says it will offer updates as far as the hardware of other devices allows.
