Galaxy Note 20 Ultra "Ultra-WideBand (UWB)" technology turns the phone into a digital key for your car

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra flagship is Samsung’s first phone with Ultra-WideBand (UWB) technology first launched on the iPhone 11. In short, this technology will be used for Google’s Nearby Share feature where e the phone can see other nearby phones as with this technology.

But UWB can also be used for augmented reality technology or to use the phone as a digital car key according to Samsung. UWB uses high frequencies up to 8,250Mhz with short distance signals. At the same time, it consumes very little power to not charge the battery.

UWB on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra can be used to send data. Finally, this technology can be used for indoor tracking as for example in a supermarket. Currently, it will only be used for Nearby Share although companies have just begun to discover its potential.
