Back to advertising and how they track our activity
Google has added an extension just for that, Ads Transparency Spotlight shows the number of ads loaded on a page, advertisers and companies, as well as your personal information being used to display ads.
We should know on the other hand that at the moment this practice includes only services that have implemented the Google scheme and not third party ones. In addition to the information, the extension also shows the presence of companies and services on the site. Furthermore, it is provided a link for each company with the privacy policy, as it shows how they collect and store user data.
It is worth noting that outside the United States it may work differently. This practice comes as a result of Google’s new campaign for greater transparency, followed by new European Union laws.
